What choline does for your liver
Choline is an essential nutrient — your body needs it but can't make enough on its own. Your liver uses choline to package fat into lipoproteins — the transport molecules that carry fat out of your liver and into your bloodstream for use elsewhere.
When choline is deficient, fat gets stuck in your liver because there aren't enough transport molecules to move it out. This is one reason why choline deficiency can actually cause fatty liver — even in people who eat a normal diet.
In the Libertia range, choline works alongside phosphatidylcholine. PC provides the membrane repair material; choline helps the logistics of getting fat out. Together they address both the structural damage and the fat accumulation.

Mild fishy body odour — possible in some people due to trimethylamine production. More common at high doses (above 500mg). At 100–150mg, very unlikely. Mild stomach discomfort is also possible but uncommon.
Duration of use
Can be taken indefinitely. Choline is an essential nutrient present in food. Supplemental choline at 100–150mg poses no long-term concerns.
Situations where this ingredient is not appropriate
Trimethylaminuria (TMAU): Rare genetic condition that prevents proper metabolism of trimethylamine. People with TMAU should avoid choline supplements.
Pregnant or breastfeeding: Choline is actually recommended during pregnancy (higher requirements). However, consult your obstetrician about your total intake from all sources.
